So, Creative*con has come and gone, and for the most part it went pretty well. Especially since I spent half the year with my arm in a sling. I met a lot of cool people, some really impressive artists, and learned a lot from the few people I got a chance to talk to when I could leave the booth. Today I got thinking, and one of the things I realized is I.. don't really use DeviantArt as a whole (which is why it doesn't have anything on here, hur hur). I like the site and all, but generally I forget to use it when preparing my stuff. But you should use all the tools handed to you, and thus I plan to use my gallery here regularly for sketches, works in progress, and the occasional special feature.
That being said, I met a rather cool guy at the con who goes by the name of ninja1361 on here that had asked me a few questions on coloring. I am actually working on a tutorial for color and layering to go with what I said for him. I really hope it helps. It'll be the first thing on the stack for off projects so I'll get it out soon. Speaking of scheduling, this week after I can shake off the feeling of meh that comes after all conventions I'll get together the schedule for next year's stuff, including hopefully a lot of projects like podcasts, livestreaming some of my comic pages, and all around making the progress I need to get myself back on top of things.
By next year I hope to have both my comics up, finish the first chapter of another project written by a good friend in the business, and have enough sketches to put together a presentation for next year's con. Which means I need to start now if I'm going to get any of this done!
Dunno who's actually going to read this, but expect modest things from this way soon!
